I really did take what you said at the seminar to heart. I have shared with others, also. I really enjoyed your sharing about the difficulties and sorrows you have experienced. I think those type of experiences really help shape the type of person you are. On February 2, 1998, my ten year old son passed away on the school bus from a heart attack–and undetected heart defect. His 13 year old brother was on the bus with him. Seth was already gone when I reached the bus. This experience really made me evaluate my life. I decided to go to school to become a nurse. I have continued on the get a master degree in nursing and am finishing up a certification in family nurse practitioner. My son, Tyson, also a RN, works at St. Anthony’s with me and is continuing on with his education also. Experiences can either make or break your spirit and I am sure Seth is proud of both his mother and brother for going ahead with life and hopefully making a difference in our patients and co worker’s lives.

Your seminar was awesome and hope to get a chance to see you again.

Hi Steve,

My month this month has been very busy since your seminar and I have yet to discipline myself into the routine you have suggested, although I fully plan on beginning with the new month in a few days. I have always been good at treating everyone as a customer, but I have found myself making it more of a conscious action when interacting with anyone. I have made some changes with my personal life more than anything. I have become more patient with my two and half year old little boy and enjoy every day we get to see each other. I’ve also started “wearing off” on my wife in this manner. Thank you and I will have better news for you in the future. Have an outstanding day!

Crabby and Negative

The first seminar I went to was as a guest. I’m thinking of retiring not getting excited about work? I had a negative attitude about life in general feeling sorry for myself, not really sure why. I’ve been overwhelmed for years, never enough time in a day, week, month to get it all done. I worry about everything. Well within the first 30 min of the Beck Seminar I learned the Secret to my pain and suffering I have Control of All Of Those Things that bothered me. I can CHANGE. However, I CAN’T change my husband or kids or anyone else. I can go to bed Happy or Crabby. It is MY choice. I feel I can be a better wife, Mom, Grandma and friend. I now feel peace when I lay my head down to sleep. Thank You Steve for giving me that information. I look forward to the next seminar. I will take time for the things that are really important to me, instead of worrying that I don’t or can’t.
